The AI Programme seeks a Product Manager to lead key AI product initiatives, driving transformation of the public sector from "digitally enabled" to "AI-augmented." This role involves developing impactful AI tools and shared capabilities that empower government agencies to innovate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape and contribute to product strategy aligned with AI Programme goals and national digital plans.
• Plan and evaluate product features using insights from user research, customer feedback, market analysis, competitor review, and internal inputs.
• Identify and manage technical and market risks that could affect product success.
• Lead the entire product lifecycle from ideation through launch and deployment.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to balance speed, quality, and simplicity in delivering solutions.
• Make informed data-driven prioritization decisions and design experiments to test concepts.
• Ensure AI features are safe, efficient, and well integrated into everyday workflows of public officers.
• Engage with stakeholders regularly to understand operational challenges and translate them into actionable product requirements.
• Balance user needs, market conditions, and business goals to maintain practical, user-centered solutions.
• Resolve issues constructively and escalate important matters appropriately.
• Take full ownership of assigned products with accountability and initiative.
• Proactively identify problems and improvement opportunities; make recommendations and adapt to evolving priorities independently.
• Contribute positively to team culture through collaboration, sharing experiences openly, and supporting continuous learning.
• Advocate for experimentation and user-centric design within the team.

Candidate Profile

• Successful track record managing products or features end-to-end from concept to market release.
• Strong analytical skills to utilize data for validating ideas, prioritizing work, and measuring outcomes.
• Comfort with technical collaboration involving engineers and designers, understanding trade-offs between speed, quality, and simplicity.
• Ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, translating operational needs into clear product requirements.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, including generative AI and large language models, with enthusiasm for applying AI to improve public sector tasks.
• Proactive, adaptable professional who independently identifies issues, proposes enhancements, and adjusts priorities as needed.
• Bonus: Knowledge of platform or shared-capability product design, tailoring features to serve multiple users or teams rather than isolated solutions.
