Product Director, Modelling Solutions

About the Role

The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) leverages established delivery channels, including APIs, Excel integrations, and client workflows, to provide access to models. The Modelling Solutions business expands this by creating a distribution platform for third-party models, enabling clients to access external models just as seamlessly as native offerings.

This division focuses on three core areas: Model Distribution, which connects model providers with institutional clients through a marketplace; Model Hosting, which offers the infrastructure for clients to deploy models in production environments; and AI Model Risk Management, delivering governance and monitoring as a distinct product.

The role centers on developing the infrastructure to enable providers to distribute their models efficiently through LSEG's established channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a robust infrastructure for systematic onboarding of third-party models across multiple client access points, including APIs and Excel integrations, featuring standardized interfaces, entitlement controls, version management, metering, and onboarding tools that avoid bespoke integrations.
• Oversee the strategic roadmap spanning the three business pillars—marketplace distribution, hosting environment, and AI risk management—balancing provider and client discovery with engineering constraints to prioritize and sequence development effectively.
• Collaborate closely with commercial and client teams on growth initiatives, developing the products that support institutional adoption and incorporating market feedback into future development.
• Lead, mentor, and expand a team of product managers to ensure successful delivery and growth of Modelling Solutions offerings.

Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive product management experience exceeding 10 years, with a proven ability to launch new products rather than solely maintain existing ones.
• Background in platform or integrations products, including developer-facing APIs, third-party integrations, or channel delivery mechanisms.
• Knowledge of financial services industry purchasing behaviors, including risk and procurement considerations.
• Experience leading and growing product management teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with marketplaces, data marketplaces, or multi-provider platforms.
• Understanding of quantitative models, machine learning/artificial intelligence systems, or model risk management.
