Role Overview

We seek an inquisitive, hands-on Junior Product Designer passionate about solving genuine user challenges and delivering creative solutions. This role involves embracing AI-driven design methods and close collaboration with product managers and engineers to craft seamless digital experiences in a regulated financial domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Create user-centered designs for web and mobile platforms by partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, and Senior Designers.
• Use modern AI-powered tools like Claude to rapidly prototype and validate design concepts and workflows.
• Engage in all product design phases including discovery, wireframing, high-fidelity mockups, prototyping, testing, and deployment.
• Design holistic customer journeys encompassing onboarding, deposits, withdrawals, trading, and account management.
• Maintain and evolve the Axi Design System with reusable components, tokens, and UI patterns.
• Work closely with engineers to ensure practical, feasible, and high-quality design implementation.
• Address edge cases, accessibility, error states, and usability to build trustworthy financial products.
• Participate in design critiques and collaborative workshops to continually refine product quality.
• Stay abreast of design trends, AI advancements, and best practices, integrating new ideas into workflows.
• Continuously enhance product thinking by balancing user needs, business goals, technical limits, and regulatory demands.

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency with Figma or equivalent UI/UX design tools.
• Solid understanding of interaction design, IA, user flows, wireframing, and prototyping.
• Experience with Design Systems, component libraries, design tokens, and reusable UI elements.
• Comfort leveraging AI tools for research, ideation, and prototyping.
• Foundational knowledge of responsive design across desktop and mobile.
• Basic awareness of frontend development concepts and collaborative mindset towards engineers.
• Strong visual design skills focused on typography, layout, spacing, hierarchy, and accessibility.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively present and iterate on design solutions.

Candidate Profile

• Approximately 2 years experience in Product or UX/UI Design, ideally with digital products.
• Experience in FinTech, Payments, Trading, or transaction-based products is a plus but not mandatory.
• A passion for designing products where precision, clarity, trust, and error handling directly affect customer outcomes.
• A growing product mindset eager to understand business ambitions alongside user requirements.
• Enthusiasm for adopting modern design systems, AI-assisted workflows, and evolving design practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers.
• Curiosity, proactivity, and receptiveness to feedback and continuous professional growth.
• Attention to detail combined with the commitment to delivering thoughtful user experiences.

Additional Information

Candidates must have legal authorization and proper documentation to work in Singapore. The recruitment process involves three interview stages: Talent Acquisition (45 minutes), Hiring Manager (60 minutes), and a Final Interview (45-60 minutes).
