- Help develop and maintain the Nitro Design System to ensure design consistency and efficiency.
- Explore and visualize future product concepts and strategic directions through innovative design work.
- Communicate design work effectively to cross-functional teams, incorporating feedback and advocating user-centered decisions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- At least 4 years of experience in UX or product design within SaaS or complex software environments.
- Proficiency throughout the entire design process from discovery, wireframing, and prototyping to validation and high-fidelity design.
- Skill in creating elegant designs for technically complex workflows and data-intensive products.
- Experience conducting various user research and discovery methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and product analysis.
- Strong problem-solving ability to dissect ambiguous challenges and define actionable paths forward.
- Confidence in using user insights and design principles to justify design choices.
- Track record of collaborating within cross-functional teams including product managers and engineers.
- Adaptability to faster-paced startup or scale-up environments, switching seamlessly between tactical design and strategic product thinking.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills
- Experience designing enterprise SaaS, infrastructure platforms, or complex B2B products.
- Contribution to or management of design systems.
- Knowledge of geospatial, engineering, or data visualization products.
Desired Attributes
- Team players with humility and outcome orientation.
- Curious designers who ask insightful questions and seek deep user understanding.
- Pragmatic problem solvers balancing ideal design against real-world constraints.
- Excellent communicators comfortable addressing both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative with a positive attitude receptive to feedback.

- Flexible working arrangements with a well-equipped office in Redfern.
- Meritocratic, non-bureaucratic culture that values collaboration and respect.
