About the Role
Join BSI, a global leader celebrating 125 years of excellence in shaping standards, to help promote product compliance and certification. As a Product Certification Auditor, you will perform assessments across various product certification schemes, including Structural Steel (EN 1090), Concrete, Aggregates, and Construction Products (CPR). This role is field-based and involves extensive travel across Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile comprehensive assessment reports and clearly communicate findings to clients, including corrective actions when necessary.
- Advise on the issuance, re-issuance, or withdrawal of certificates following BSI policies and procedures.
- Manage assigned client accounts, ensuring excellent service and fostering account growth.
- Lead audit teams, briefing members adequately to maintain service quality and nurture client and team relationships.
- Collaborate closely with internal support teams to maintain accurate client records and fulfill information requirements promptly.
- Coach and induct less experienced auditors or new colleagues as needed.
- Efficiently plan work schedules to optimize time and maximize revenue-generating activities.
- Undertake an extensive onboarding and training program to attain Lead Assessor status by demonstrating necessary knowledge and audit skills.
- Handle all logistics for assessments including client communication, scheduling, travel, and reporting.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a product manufacturing environment focusing on quality management or product certification.
- Preferred qualification in engineering or a manufacturing-related discipline.
- Previous exposure to product auditing or assessment against recognized standards.
- Willingness to travel frequently and extensively.
- Sound understanding of quality management system auditing practices, specifically ISO 9001.
- Possession of Lead Auditor ISO 9001 certification is highly advantageous.
