Produce Stocker

Position Summary

As a Produce Stocker at Walmart Canada, you will gain valuable experience within a fast-paced retail setting. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and clear zoning of the produce department to guarantee readiness for customers at all times.
• Regularly rotate produce stock and promptly remove any expired items to uphold product freshness and quality.
• Ensure accurate pricing and proper signage for all produce items, implementing correct procedures for ordering, clearance, and price adjustments.
• Adhere strictly to food safety protocols, sanitation, and cold chain standards including temperature monitoring, proper handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Manage merchandise stocking and de-stocking, apply product protection as necessary, and organize modular displays to keep shelves fully supplied.
• Comply with all health and safety policies to maintain a secure and clean workplace environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working varied shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays in response to store needs.

Potential Challenges

• Effectively handle a high volume of tasks within a fast-moving environment, including overnight shifts that demand focus and energy management.
• Complete extensive restocking and recovery duties timely and accurately despite the fast pace.
• Perform physically demanding duties involving prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out repetitive tasks related to stocking, zoning, and organizing with consistent attention to detail ensuring store standards.

The starting wage for this role is $16.35 per hour.
