Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the produce department's cleanliness, organization, and neat zoning to keep the area customer-ready at all times.
• Regularly rotate products and discard expired items to guarantee freshness and quality.
• Ensure all produce is priced correctly and properly signed, adhering to procedures for pricing, ordering, clearance, markdowns, and signage.
• Comply with food safety and cold chain protocols, including temperature monitoring, proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and following sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock and downstock merchandise as necessary, protect products when required, and set up displays such as modulars and shelf caps to keep shelves fully stocked.
• Follow all health and safety policies to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Be adaptable to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.

Work Challenges

• Manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment, including overnight shifts, maintaining energy and focus throughout.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as extended standing, bending, lifting inventory or supplies up to 20 lbs. regularly, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Engage in repetitive duties like stocking, organizing, and zoning products with consistent attention to detail to maintain store standards.

The starting pay rate for this position is $16.45 per hour.
