Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, well-organized, and neatly zoned produce department to ensure it's customer-ready at all times.
• Regularly rotate products and remove expired goods to maintain freshness and quality standards.
• Verify accurate pricing and signage on all produce, adhering to procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, labeling, and signage.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and cold chain protocols, including performing temperature checks, proper use of thermometers, correct food handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock and downstock merchandise as necessary, apply product protection measures, and arrange displays such as modulars, flex modulars, and shelf caps to keep the area fully stocked.
• Comply with all health and safety policies to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
• Be flexible to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays according to business requirements, ensuring smooth store operations and consistent customer service.

Challenges in the Role

• Successfully manage high task volumes in a fast-paced environment, particularly during overnight shifts, through effective planning and staying focused and energized.
• Execute physical tasks including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies typically weighing up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive duties such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with careful attention to detail and consistency to maintain store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05.
