• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired goods to guarantee quality and freshness.
• Verify correct pricing and signage for all produce, following procedures for ordering, discounts, label accuracy, and promotional signage.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation standards, and cold chain protocols, including conducting temperature checks, using thermometers, handling food properly, and respecting sell-by and expiry dates.
• Stock and replenish merchandise as necessary; protect products when required and organize modular displays to ensure an appealing and fully stocked area.
• Comply with health and safety policies to maintain a safe and clean workplace.
• Be flexible to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands and ensure consistent customer service.

Challenges to Expect

• Handle a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight shifts, maintaining energy and focus.
• Manage substantial restocking workload accurately and timely.
• Perform physical duties such as prolonged standing, bending, lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out repetitive duties like stocking, zoning, and organizing produce with precision to uphold store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05 CAD.
