Position Overview

The role of a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada offers an excellent opportunity to gain retail experience while providing outstanding customer service according to Walmart's core principles. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality and attractive presentation of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery department fully stocked and business-ready at all times.
• Ensure all bakery merchandise is correctly labeled and priced.
• Follow standards related to cold chain management, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, proper food handling, product rotation, and observing sell-by and expiration dates.
• Adhere strictly to sanitation protocols and food safety handling procedures.
• Follow established procedures for ordering inventory, managing clearances, pricing adjustments, and labeling.
• Prepare bakery products by carefully following thawing and baking instructions to keep product quality and appearance consistent.
• Ensure all bakery displays are safely and properly secured.

Compensation

The starting pay for this position is $18.40 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
