Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the produce department by keeping it clean, orderly, and properly zoned for customers at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired items to guarantee product freshness and quality.
• Accurately price and sign all produce items, following established protocols for ordering, clearance, marking, labels, and signage.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and cold chain standards, including monitoring temperatures and proper food handling practices.
• Stock and downstock merchandise as needed, apply product protection, and organize displays including modular shelving to ensure full stocking.
• Follow health and safety policies to maintain a safe, clean workplace environment.
• Be flexible and available to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays according to business requirements.

Challenges to Expect

• Manage high volumes of tasks in a rapid environment, especially during overnight shifts, balancing workload to sustain energy and focus.
• Complete physically demanding tasks such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive activities like stocking and organizing with careful attention to detail to maintain standards.

Compensation

This position offers a starting hourly wage of $18.70.
