About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Executive to join a prominent public sector organization based in Dublin. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of €52,000 to €75,000 annually, with hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support the entire tendering process, from drafting initial specifications to awarding contracts.
  • Develop, publish, and manage tenders using the eTenders.gov.ie platform.
  • Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on suitable procurement strategies, including the use of OGP frameworks.
  • Assist in preparing procurement documentation, setting evaluation criteria, managing timelines, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Facilitate tender evaluations, scoring activities, and issuing standstill or notification correspondence.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of tenders and contracts to uphold strong procurement governance standards.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across various departments, offering practical procurement support and guidance.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in public procurement where procurement was a central responsibility.
  • In-depth understanding of Irish public sector procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proven expertise with eTenders.gov.ie for tender publication and management.
  • Experience handling full-cycle public tender processes independently.
  • Knowledge of OGP frameworks and recognized procurement best practices.
  • Possession of, or progression towards, a relevant procurement qualification such as the Professional Diploma in Public Procurement from the IPA.
  • A level 8 third-level diploma or degree.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management, organizational ability, and meticulous attention to detail.
