Process Improvement Engineer – Facility Management

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Process Improvement Engineer to spearhead Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives within facility management and related project operations in Doha, Qatar. This role emphasizes evaluating current processes, pinpointing inefficiencies, and implementing actionable enhancements to boost productivity, quality, safety, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current business and operational workflows to detect inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for enhancement.
• Create workflow maps and design streamlined processes, procedures, and standardized operating practices.
• Gather and interpret operational data and performance metrics to uncover trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement projects across various business units and projects.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis, gap assessments, and evaluate performance to develop corrective and improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and manage change effectively.
• Develop, track, and present KPIs, dashboards, and reports for senior management.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented improvements and identify further enhancement opportunities.
• Standardize and disseminate successful processes and best practices throughout relevant projects and operations.
• Engage with Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), and Commercial teams.
• Support efforts aimed at enhancing productivity, safety, quality, sustainability, and cost reduction.
• Prepare regular updates and presentations regarding progress and analysis for leadership.
• Mentor colleagues in process optimization methods, Lean principles, and change management techniques.
• Align all process improvement activities with organizational objectives and sustainability targets.
• Operate onsite and across various operational environments to identify challenges and implement lasting solutions.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 8 years of proven experience in Process Improvement, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, or related roles.
• Background in infrastructure, construction, energy, water, utilities, facility management, or other complex operational sectors.
• In-depth understanding of Lean, Six Sigma tools, and continuous improvement approaches.
• Mandatory Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Expertise in data analytics, performance measurement, KPI formation, and reporting.
• Experience with project and change management.
• Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), process flow mapping, gap analysis, benchmarking, and process optimization.
• Capability to collaborate with diverse, multidisciplinary, and multicultural teams in complex environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving abilities.
• High competence with MS Office suite and familiarity with data visualization and analytical tools is an advantage.
• Experience with extensive infrastructure or sustainability-related projects is highly valued.
• Working experience in international projects or multinational enterprises will be positively regarded.
