Project Details
Our ACCIONA Precast Solutions (APS) branch designs and manufactures prestressed and reinforced concrete components such as Super-T bridge beams, planks, girders, noise barriers, and customized elements. APS has contributed to significant Australian infrastructure projects including WestConnex and the Pacific Highway upgrades, expanding its manufacturing capabilities.
Role Overview
This Yandina Creek-based position combines cost control and project controls (70%) with estimating and tender assistance (30%). Reporting to the Project Manager, the role involves maintaining cost control systems, monitoring expenditures versus budgets, preparing bids, taking off quantities, and estimating costs. Collaboration with project teams, commercial units, and supply chain departments is essential to ensure financial reporting accuracy and competitive tendering.
Primary Responsibilities
- Implement and manage project cost control systems, including LinkedSite.
- Monitor project and bidding expenditure aligned to approved budgets.
- Conduct cost forecasting, cash flow analyses, and month-end reporting.
- Generate financial reports, dashboards, and variance analyses.
- Perform quantity take-offs, assemble rate build-ups, and prepare tender cost estimates.
- Issue requests for quotes, evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Oversee tender-to-project transition and establish baseline budgets.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Commerce, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Construction project experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SAP and Power BI is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and skill in interpreting data.
