Process Assistant - Rural Super Rural (RSR) Operations

About the Role

As a Process Assistant within Amazon's Rural Super Rural (RSR) team, you'll be integral to the last mile delivery service ensuring reliable deliveries even in remote locations. The role contributes to seamless order fulfillment by directing day-to-day operations and fostering continuous improvement aligned with Amazon's leadership principles like Bias for Action, aiming to be Earth’s most customer-centric company.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on labor time tracking systems (ATS) and labor hours.
• Support production duties, conduct associate training, and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Track and analyze operational metrics to ensure productivity goals are met.
• Evaluate associate work performance and provide constructive, prompt feedback.
• Engage in Operational Excellence projects to enhance team performance.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of daily workflows and production targets.
• Update SOP documents as needed to reflect process changes.
• Oversee cleanliness and equipment readiness of work areas.
• Identify and mitigate safety hazards, actively participating in safety protocols.
• Coach team members on safe working practices and ensure timely reporting of workplace injuries adhering to policies.
• Provide management coverage during area manager absences.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of one year experience using Microsoft Office suite applications.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical capability to lift up to 49 pounds and sustain up to 12-hour shifts involving extensive walking and standing with frequent physical activities like pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
• Willing to work 40 hours per week plus overtime as necessary.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or previous experience at Amazon preferred.
• Familiarity with Operational Excellence (OPEX) tools and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills across diverse organizational levels.
• Track record of meeting or surpassing department goals.
• Proven leadership ability and capacity to direct team members independently.
• Excellent organizational and time management competencies.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a starting hourly wage of $22.50, which may include additional shift differentials and overtime pay depending on selected shift and location.
