Compliance Manager - Engineering, Quick Commerce

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Regulatory & Compliance Manager to join the Amazon Now team in Dubai, UAE, to oversee technical and regulatory compliance within our engineering endeavors. This pivotal position ensures adherence to compliance standards as we expand our engineering capabilities in the region.

Role Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering compliance from project inception through to operational phases.
• Design and enforce compliance frameworks aligned with local regulatory mandates.
• Evaluate technical drawings and engineering proposals to ensure conformity with industry norms and regulations.
• Drive ongoing improvements in compliance processes and control mechanisms.
• Offer expert advice on technical compliance issues to both internal teams and external partners.
• Build and sustain effective communication channels with regulatory bodies concerning technical compliance matters.
• Lead and coordinate technical compliance audits and assessments alongside cross-functional teams.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk or loss prevention roles, or similar fields.
• Proven experience managing confidential information.
• At least 5 years in program or project management capacities.
• Preferred: Over 3 years of experience defining program requirements and utilizing data and metrics to drive enhancements.
• Preferred: Possession of professional auditing certifications or equivalent risk/compliance qualifications.
