As a Process and Controls Specialist, you will play a vital role in enhancing risk management and optimizing processes across the company. You will collaborate with business leaders organization-wide to understand processes, identify risks, and develop robust controls, while fostering a strong control culture through coaching and partnership. This role is available in Auckland or Hamilton.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with various business units to develop capabilities in mapping crucial business processes and detecting risks and key controls.
• Lead workshops and guide teams in conducting control self-assessments.
• Establish and endorse enterprise-wide standards for documentation of processes and design of controls.
• Critically review process and control documents and propose enhancements to strengthen controls.
• Analyze trends and generate insightful reports to support leadership's risk decision-making.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across teams, coaching stakeholders to elevate their risk and control competencies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Background in external/internal audit, risk advisory, controls, assurance, or similar fields.
• Experience within large, complex organizations or professional services sectors.
• Strong skills in process mapping and understanding of risks and controls, capable of translating complex ideas into actionable steps.
• Outstanding ability to engage and facilitate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication abilities.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and a capacity to independently manage multiple priorities.
