As a Process and Controls Specialist, you will contribute significantly to reinforcing Genesis' risk management systems and enhancing process efficiency. This enterprise-level position involves collaborating with business leaders to comprehend operational workflows, detect key risks, map critical processes, and develop effective, sustainable controls.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with various business units to build expertise in mapping essential business processes, identifying risks, and determining critical controls.
- Lead and facilitate workshops focused on process and control evaluation, guiding teams through control self-assessments.
- Act as the authority on process documentation and control design standards across the organization.
- Examine and critically assess process and control documentation to pinpoint improvement opportunities that strengthen the overall control environment.
- Analyze data trends, generate actionable insights, and assist in reporting to enable leadership in making informed risk-related decisions.
- Forge strong partnerships throughout the business, providing coaching and support to increase stakeholders' capabilities in risk and control management.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Professional background in external or internal audit, risk advisory, assurance, controls, or closely related domains.
- Experience operating within complex, large organizations or professional services settings.
- Proficient understanding of process mapping, risk assessments, and control frameworks, with an ability to convert intricate ideas into feasible practical solutions.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and facilitation, with the confidence to influence decision-makers at multiple levels.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to communicate effectively in writing.
- A proactive mindset geared toward continuous improvement and the capability to independently handle various priorities.
