About the Role
Join Genesis in shaping New Zealand's energy future through innovation and purpose-driven work. As a Commercial & Pricing Operations Analyst, you will influence competitive pricing strategies and commercial results across the Enterprise customer segment by developing and refining pricing models to support data-driven decisions.
Key Duties
- Collaborate closely with the Enterprise team to formulate and implement pricing approaches for electricity, gas, and LPG sectors.
- Create and analyse models and datasets to derive insights that enhance commercial performance.
- Ensure pricing and commercial data integrity by overseeing data governance activities.
- Produce reports, dashboards, and detailed analyses to track business outcomes.
- Identify areas for process improvements in pricing, data accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
- Effectively communicate findings to stakeholders using clear reports and visual tools.
Candidate Profile
- At least five years of experience in pricing or commercial analysis roles.
- Proficiency with advanced Excel functions; familiarity with SQL and/or Power BI is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities paired with meticulous attention to detail.
- Capability to simplify complex data into understandable and actionable insights.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Background in the energy industry or experience within a large complex organization is an asset.
- A curious, self-motivated mindset with a willingness to learn, grow, and adapt in a dynamic business environment.
