Role Overview

We are looking to hire an experienced Small Format Digital Print Operator to work in a fast-paced printing environment. The successful candidate will be capable of operating independently, handling multiple print tasks, and ensuring consistent, high-quality output across various printing and finishing machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce a range of small-format printed materials including A5-A3 flyers, A4 and A5 booklets, simple A4 and A5 documents, and NCR sets.
  • Operate digital printing and finishing equipment efficiently.
  • Manage print workflows using Fiery Command WorkStation.
  • Perform basic file verification and editing with Adobe Acrobat.
  • Occasionally communicate with account managers or clients to clarify job specifications.
  • Deliver printed materials professionally and punctually to client locations when required.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact during deliveries.
  • Coordinate with the Production Manager and team members to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of delivery and job details in internal databases.
  • Drive regularly within a 25 to 50 mile radius and manually handle materials weighing up to 25kg.

Working Hours

Full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a digital print operator, preferably with small-format printing.
  • Possess a valid, clean UK driving licence and be comfortable driving for work purposes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset.
  • Professional demeanor and approachable manner when interacting with clients.

Additional Information

This role requires a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Applicants only need to declare unspent convictions per the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
