We seek a skilled and user-centric Principal Front End Engineer to make intricate financial planning software intuitive and seamless. This role involves layering design thoughtfully to balance innovation, speed, performance, and reliability.

You will work on real-time collaborative editing of extensive data systems with complex interrelations and advanced scenario planning, requiring a consistent user experience despite the sophisticated backend data model.

Additionally, you will contribute to developing AI-driven features that are dynamic, visual, and interactive. While AI is integral to our work, quality and human focus remain paramount.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the front-end architecture of the application, ensuring cohesive integration with the data model and state management to support a scalable, real-time collaboration product.
• Maintain and elevate the standard of front-end engineering throughout the team, focusing on code quality, testing, review practices, and delivery timelines.
• Develop tooling and processes to enhance cooperation between product and engineering teams, reducing the number of iterations.
• Provide guidance on critical technical decisions, resolve complex challenges, and continuously raise the team's performance bar.
• Collaborate closely with product teams to influence the product roadmap and align technical dependencies, delivering value promptly to users.
• Lead the engineering team by offering technical leadership and mentorship.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 5 years of professional experience working with React and Typescript.
• At least 3 years of experience using Redux.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to design user interactions that effectively manage complex backend integrations and balance technical trade-offs.
• Previous experience in a technical leadership role.
• Passion for mentoring peers and fostering skill development within the engineering team.
• Eagerness to acquire new knowledge and apply your skills beyond your comfort zone.

Additional Information

Candidates need to work full-time onsite in Sydney for the initial three months. Afterward, the position transitions to a hybrid model requiring three days per week in the office.
