Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a specialization in compiler technology to join our efforts in protecting customers from automated threats. This role involves working with advanced obfuscation methods, including custom languages and virtual machines, to innovate new defense mechanisms against attackers. The position provides the opportunity to lead developments within our Virtual Machine and compiler systems and contribute to the future of cybersecurity technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve the Kasada Virtual Machine.
• Build and optimize various components of the compiler pipeline.
• Translate security research prototypes into functional solutions enhancing bot defense capabilities.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams on research initiatives.
• Participate in architectural design discussions to create efficient solutions.

Candidate Profile

While we do not expect candidates to fulfill every criterion, eagerness to grow and learn is essential.

• Minimum three years experience as a Senior Software Engineer.
• Strong understanding of compiler architecture and experience working with compilers.
• Familiarity with Abstract Syntax Trees (ASTs).
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Excellent skills in communicating complex technical concepts clearly to non-specialists.
• Advanced debugging abilities with a proactive attitude toward exploring unknown challenges.
• Experience in developing user-based testing methodologies.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of browser technologies, including legacy compatibility.
• Experience in cybersecurity domains.
• Client-side testing expertise.
• Familiarity with Babel and virtual machines.
