Job Summary

We seek a seasoned, inquisitive, and motivated Principal Software Engineer to join our expanding team focused on Workload Identity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to transform communications security between services, spanning core areas like networking, security, authorization, SDKs, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and more.

The ideal candidate will have broad expertise in security, networking, and cloud technologies with specific experience in Workload Identity. This position includes significant growth potential and requires adaptability throughout the product development lifecycle and team evolution.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software addressing Workload Identity challenges including prototypes, client and server-side, through to production releases.
• Lead, mentor, and collaborate closely with the development team to cultivate growth and excellence.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to present progress, discuss priorities, and provide technical insights regarding feasibility and complexity.
• Serve as the technical lead of the team, delegating tasks and guiding peers through development stages.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software design, architecture, coding, and testing.
• Proficient in software development using Golang.
• Advanced expertise in areas including networking, security, cloud technologies, Kubernetes, encryption, PKI, JWT, and SPIFFE.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems at enterprise scale while meeting performance and quality standards.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing and mentoring software development teams, with or without direct line management responsibilities.
• Experience collaborating with product managers and field teams in product development cycles.
