Job Overview
The Principal Manufacturing Engineer will spearhead the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, operational sequences, and processes for producing parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. This role collaborates closely with design engineering teams to facilitate the rollout of new products. Responsibilities include estimating manufacturing costs, defining time standards, and recommending tooling and process needs for both new and existing product lines. Additionally, the position involves maintaining comprehensive records and reporting systems to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Expertise in analytical instruments, including Atomic Spectroscopy and instrument automation platforms.
- Familiarity with quality management standards, specifically ISO 13485 and ISO 9001.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Strong analytical mindset combined with interpersonal effectiveness.
- Proficiency in analyzing, developing, communicating, and enhancing business processes and systems.
- Leadership in driving change and setting operational metrics and key performance indicators for process control, communication, and ongoing performance improvement.
- A results-oriented approach balanced with sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge and ability to apply lean manufacturing principles and lead other process improvement initiatives.
