Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan man-hour budgets, develop schedules, assign manpower by skills and experience according to project needs and guidance from the Discipline Manager.
- Ensure coverage for team absences to maintain continuous project work.
- Monitor team compliance with engineering best practices, legal regulations, and client specifications.
- Support standardizing equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.
- Enhance understanding of technical knowledge, legal standards, and customer requirements within lawful boundaries.
- Engage in project execution strategy, planning, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to meet scope, cost, and timeline targets.
- Help manage project changes, progress, and staffing; collaborate with project management to resolve issues and maintain profitability.
- Lead weekly meetings for the Instrumentation & Control discipline, review progress reports, and oversee quality control procedures.
- Initiate, oversee, and supervise engineering assignments ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Manage workload and scheduling for the Instrumentation & Control engineering and design team.
- Analyze data from various sources, conduct engineering studies, and prepare calculations and recommendations.
- Review and approve final documentation before client submission.
- Identify technical problems, evaluate alternative solutions, and recommend actions via formal project documentation.
- Create and monitor deliverable schedules for the discipline and drive customer document approvals.
- Participate in bid clarifications and evaluations, review vendor information interdisciplinary, and conclude certification activities.
- Adhere to quality assurance systems and ensure projects comply with Worley’s Project Management Process and General Management System using consistent methodologies.
- Monitor risks and opportunities to ensure closure.
- Commit to personal safety and safe work practices, understand and comply with occupational health and safety procedures.
- Promote health, safety, and environmental awareness throughout projects.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Recent experience (last 3-5 years) focused on offshore upstream Oil & Gas projects.
- Hands-on engineering design experience including feasibility, concept development, front-end engineering design (FEED), and engineering procurement and construction (EPC).
- Expertise in functional safety and control systems.
- Proficient with DCS, Safety Integrity Level 3 Fire & Gas (SIL 3 F&G), Emergency Shutdown (ESD), and Public Address/Gas Alarm (PA/GA) systems.
- Holds a full-time Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering from an accredited university.
- Mandatory Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) engineering accreditation with willingness to obtain it within the probation period if not already held.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) certification or progression toward this qualification is advantageous.
