About the Role

This role centers on significant energy transition projects in New Zealand, specifically focusing on transmission and substation ventures that support the country's electricity infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts and perform reviews of medium to high voltage substations ranging from 22kV to 220kV.
- Provide expert technical guidance throughout all design phases, including conceptualization, detailed design, and design verification.
- Serve as a trusted consultant for utilities, infrastructure clients, and developers.
- Contribute strategically to major bids and client engagements.
- Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence within the team.
- Shape project outcomes, influence standards, and establish best practices across the broader team.
Candidate Requirements
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) registration or eligibility to obtain one.
- Significant experience managing high voltage substation engineering projects.
- Specialized proficiency in Primary, Secondary, or Protection Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand’s utility regulations and standards.
- Proven technical judgment and skills in client engagement.
- Collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to developing others.
