Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Principal Consultant with extensive expertise in Information Management encompassing Data Warehousing, Data Management, Business Intelligence, and Analytics. This role involves leading project delivery, offering expert technical guidance, and driving revenue growth through client engagement. You will act as a subject matter expert, mentor colleagues, and oversee complex technical initiatives across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-value business solutions aimed at enhancing organisational performance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to consulting teams within Altis.
- Conduct quality reviews for projects, including your own and those of your peers.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to understand client requirements and develop tailored solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to solution designs with attention to security and data governance principles.
- Advise on data modelling strategies to meet diverse information needs.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies to improve business methodologies.
- Lead large-scale and complex projects ensuring effective project oversight and risk mitigation.
- Engage in business development activities including lead generation.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Experience managing projects through all phases: strategy, advisory, planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Ability to provide strategic counsel to organisations for optimising data and information value.
- Proficiency with Cloud platforms and architectural design, including AWS, Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Expertise in data modelling methods such as dimensional modelling and Data Vault.
- Hands-on experience in data engineering for building large, complex data solutions.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Experience leading and managing technical teams.
- Skill in identifying up-selling opportunities and creating business leads.
- Proven competence in handling complex projects, schedules, and team capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude coupled with excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior team members.
- Tertiary education in IT or equivalent practical experience.
- Over 10 years of comprehensive IT experience focused on Data & Analytics.
- More than 10 years delivering data and analytics projects.
- At least 10 years consulting in client-facing roles.
