Role Overview

The Contract Services Team at Turner & Townsend provides contract drafting, management, dispute resolution, and claims management services throughout the region. This role requires substantial experience from consultancy or contracting sectors, with hands-on knowledge of standard contract forms, dispute avoidance, and resolution methods within the built environment.

The ideal candidate will possess commercial acumen, a proactive mindset, and the ability to deliver superior claims and dispute advisory services. The role involves supporting subject matter experts and contributing to the expansion of our Contract Services unit.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage contracts effectively across varied construction sectors and project types.
• Administer contracts and commercial aspects on large-scale projects.
• Utilize expertise with FIDIC and other standard contracts, adhering to relevant procedures.
• Prepare detailed claims reports and manage dispute resolution processes including arbitration and litigation.
• Engage confidently with clients, delivering presentations and consultancy.
• Conduct performance analysis related to quantum and delay assessments.
• Adapt flexibly to complex service delivery challenges, maintaining methodical analytical approaches.
• Provide consultancy on ongoing contracts facing difficulties where required.
• Support the preparation of major bid proposals as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Advanced qualifications such as MSc in Construction Law are preferred or in progress.
• Professional memberships including MCIArb, MCIOB, MRICS or FRICS chartered status are favored.
• Proven experience delivering contract and claims services in the property sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to thrive in client-facing roles.
