Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our school in Dubai. This role involves delivering high-quality lessons, fostering a supportive and academically stimulating classroom atmosphere, and supporting the pastoral care and holistic development of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging lessons for assigned subjects and year groups, demonstrating thorough subject matter expertise.
- Equip students with the necessary skills to reach their full potential through outstanding teaching practices.
- Create and maintain a nurturing yet academically focused classroom environment.
- Serve as a class teacher managing student well-being, academic achievements, and extracurricular activities.
- Ensure rigorous safeguarding and child protection standards for all students.
- Develop and contribute to lesson resources tailored to the learner group’s needs.
- Monitor student progress, integrating internal and external assessments into lesson plans.
- Provide ongoing reports on student performance, including written reports and parent-teacher meetings.
- Customize challenges and plans to meet diverse student needs informed by data analysis.
- Commit to continuous professional growth through participation in school-wide development programs.
- Accept shared pastoral responsibilities, particularly for students within the assigned tutor group.
- Fulfill supervisory duties during breaks and cover absences when necessary.
- Maintain positive classroom environments, including visually stimulating displays.
- Engage actively in school events and extracurricular activities by leading at least one high-quality club per term.
- Contribute towards school improvement initiatives and departmental enhancements.
Additional Duties
- Uphold the welfare and safeguarding of all children encountered during your role.
- Perform other duties as delegated by senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
- A good honours degree.
- Possession of a QTS or PGCE teaching qualification, preferably obtained in the UK.
- At least two years of teaching experience.
- Experience teaching UK curricula is preferred.
- Motivated, talented, and professional approach to teaching.
- Willingness to aid in developing departmental resources.
- Participation in whole school enrichment activities before or after school hours.
- Ability to provide an ICPC and UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police clearance.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and appearance.
- A commitment to contributing to the wider curriculum and school vision.
