About the Role
DHL Global Forwarding, a leader in air and ocean freight services with over 30,000 employees worldwide, is seeking a Pricing Specialist focused on the Aid & Relief sector, based in Dubai, UAE. The company provides end-to-end supply chain logistics solutions and is committed to forward-thinking approaches that enhance connectivity and improve lives.
Job Purpose
This position involves preparing and submitting bids, tenders, and proposals for Aid & Relief projects. The successful candidate will ensure that all submissions are accurate, compliant, timely, and effectively coordinated among commercial, operational, and regional teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of submissions including bids, tenders, RFQs, RFPs, and EOIs.
- Oversee bid plans, maintain timelines, track actions, manage document versions, and meet submission deadlines.
- Provide prompt responses to quotation requests with pricing that is competitive and solutions that meet requirements.
- Negotiate improved rate agreements based on shipment volumes with DHL stations and suppliers.
- Gather and consolidate information from commercial, operational, finance, legal, procurement, and country teams.
- Prepare and format proposals, presentations, capability statements, and other supporting documents.
- Verify all submissions for compliance with customer criteria, internal policies, and approval processes.
- Keep bid templates, content libraries, tender records, and opportunity pipelines updated.
- Monitor tender portals and assist in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities.
Skills and Experience Required
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Relations, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience coordinating complex tenders across multiple countries or stakeholders.
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience in bid coordination, tender management, proposal support, or commercial administration roles.
- Good understanding of freight forwarding products, such as air, ocean, road, multimodal transport, customs clearance, and supply chain services.
- High proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams and SharePoint, with experience in document version control and technology use.
- Strong written English skills with professional document editing capabilities; additional language abilities are beneficial.
