About the Role
Join ECU Worldwide Singapore as a Pricing Manager and take a critical role in crafting effective pricing strategies, managing important customer tenders, and boosting profitable growth within a leading global logistics company.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete tender and RFQ process by understanding customer needs, preparing detailed RFQs, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring all requirements are met within set deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with the Key Account Management team and senior management during RFQ briefings, customer queries, pricing negotiations, and overall rate strategy development.
- Conduct detailed cost and sales analyses by examining cost structures and integrating cost data into pricing choices to deliver commercially sound and profitable pricing solutions.
- Develop competitive pricing models ensuring rates achieve targeted gross profit, yield, and profitability goals.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to finalize the scope, requirements, and specifications of tenders and RFQs for alignment across departments.
- Evaluate pricing exceptions and recommend commercially justified adjustments based on customer value, market trends, volume potential, and profitability.
- Maintain and update tariffs to keep pricing data accurate, up to date, and consistent with approved commercial strategies.
- Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for rate increases and yield enhancement, while also defending volume through competitive pricing strategies when necessary.
- Lead the execution of awarded tenders and RFQs, ensuring agreed pricing and terms are communicated efficiently and implemented across systems and teams.
- Promote continual improvements in pricing and tender operations by identifying efficiency gains, enhancing accuracy, speeding turnaround times, and improving commercial results.
- Address and resolve internal pricing and commercial disputes by working with relevant parties to find timely and pragmatic solutions.
- Provide support for ad-hoc commercial and pricing projects as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities in English.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of handling pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Possess a positive attitude, excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, numerical aptitude, and dedication to excellence.
