Job Responsibilities

• Manage preparation of accounts and statutory financial reports in compliance with FRS 102 and FRS 102A for entities such as SMEs, owner-managed companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
• Execute tax compliance duties including calculations and submissions of Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT, PAYE/PRSI, and Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT).
• Provide advisory services related to business operations, assist with cloud accounting, and support cash flow and budgeting for a portfolio of regional clients in Kilkenny and the South-East.
• Contribute to or lead audit fieldwork and limited assurance engagements for clients not exempt from such reviews.
• Mentor junior staff and ACA/ACCA trainees by delegating tasks and reviewing output to uphold quality and foster development.
• Support clients' adoption and use of cloud accounting platforms including Xero, Surf Accounts, and QuickBooks to enhance digital efficiency and ensure compliance.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) with legal authorization to work in Ireland.
• Have 2 to 4 years of practice experience, preferably assisting a variety of SMEs within an accountancy firm.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Irish accounting standards (FRS 102/102A), taxation laws, and regulatory filings with the Companies Registration Office and Revenue Commissioners.
• Experienced in using top practice management and cloud accounting software.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, maintaining a client-centered and approachable demeanor.
