Role Overview

The Powerplant Engineer will be part of the Engineering Technical Services team that supports the Ryanair Group fleet, which includes Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft. This desk-based role is located in the Engineering Office in Dublin and reports to the Head of Powerplant/Deputy Powerplant Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized technical support for engines, APUs, and thrust reversers as part of Continuing Airworthiness activities.
• Collaborate with OEMs such as CFM, Pratt & Whitney, Boeing, Airbus, and Honeywell to resolve technical issues.
• Review and evaluate engine workscope and repair specifications.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Repair Organizations (MROs) to ensure timely completion of engine repairs and overhauls.
• Work with stakeholders to implement the engine removal schedule successfully.
• Review and apply Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and other technical documentation.
• Identify and implement solutions to improve reliability issues in cooperation with the Reliability Department and OEMs.
• Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations.

Candidate Requirements

• Holds an appropriate Engineering Degree or an EASA Part 66 Maintenance License.
• At least 1 year of experience in a Technical Services, CAMO role, or engine MRO environment.
• Technical knowledge of CFM56 and LEAP engines, including workscope evaluation, is advantageous.
• Understanding of EASA Part M, CAMO, and Part 145 regulations.
• Demonstrates flexibility in approach to work.
• Excellent communication skills, including experience writing or reviewing technical instructions.
• Proficient with computer applications such as MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
