Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Powder Coating Factory Operative to join a growing metal finishing manufacturer based in Chatham, Kent. This permanent role involves working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment specializing in high-quality powder coating services across the South East and internationally. The annual salary is £27,000 with benefits including pension contributions, regular overtime, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, and opportunities for skill development and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare various products for the powder coating process.
- Support the sprayer during application stages.
- Perform hand blasting tasks to prepare or finish metal surfaces.
- Conduct quality inspections on finished coated items to ensure standards are met.
- Package coated parts carefully for distribution and dispatch.
- Operate in proximity to curing ovens, maintaining productivity in consistently warm working conditions.
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehousing or related sectors is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to understand and interpret company paperwork and internal documentation.
- Strong willingness to acquire new skills and develop professionally within the company.
- Capability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated history of reliable and stable employment in prior roles.
