About The Role

Join our team at Rye Hill Prison near Rugby, Warwickshire, as an Operational Support Officer, a key position within the Care and Rehabilitation Services dedicated to aiding prisoner resettlement. This permanent, full-time role offers a meaningful career path supporting rehabilitation efforts for individuals preparing to reintegrate into society.

Role Overview

As an Operational Support Officer, you will contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive environment by coordinating daily operations. You will perform tasks including monitoring security systems, assisting visitors, managing security equipment, facilitating the movement within the facility, and handling communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor CCTV and communication networks to ensure site security.
  • Welcome and assist visitors while enforcing safety protocols professionally.
  • Distribute and track keys, tallies, and radios, ensuring security compliance.
  • Manage the organized movement of people throughout the prison facility.
  • Handle telephone inquiries with courtesy and helpfulness.
  • Support contractors and visitors by completing necessary documentation and safety checks.
  • Maintain the Visitors Centre as a secure and welcoming area for family and guests.
