Role Overview

This role involves capturing first-person point-of-view (POV) video recordings of daily activities using a qualifying smartphone mounted on a basic head-mounted device. Contributors will perform assigned scenarios within their natural surroundings and adhere to detailed recording instructions to ensure useful, varied footage that meets project standards.

Geographical Eligibility and Location

Applicants must be physically located in India, United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa, Australia, Singapore, or New Zealand, and recordings must be made within these countries accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Capture first-person videos of various everyday activities as directed by project scenario assignments.
• Use an approved smartphone (Google Pixel 6+/Samsung Galaxy S21+/iPhone 12+) mounted on a simple head-mounted setup following project guidelines.
• Complete assigned recording tasks accessed through an online task platform, ensuring activity diversity and adherence to quality parameters.
• Record video segments lasting at least 10 minutes per activity, with longer recordings permitted as needed, including both daytime (approximately 80%) and nighttime (around 20%) sessions.
• Maintain video quality in terms of lighting, framing, device compliance, and content restrictions, avoiding recording of minors or disallowed material.
• Submit footage according to prescribed upload protocols and participate in training, onboarding, and continuous communication.
• Address feedback on video quality or compliance as necessary.

Requirements

• Possession of and ability to operate a qualifying smartphone (Google Pixel 6 or later, Samsung Galaxy S21 or later, or iPhone 12 or later).
• Capability to wear a basic head-mounted phone holder during recording sessions.
• Reliable internet access for accessing tasks and submitting project materials.
• Strong attention to detail for following precise scripts and project instructions independently.
• Physical presence in one of the listed countries.
• Ability to commit approximately 20 hours weekly depending on task availability and project needs.
• No prior professional video production experience required; comfort with smartphone technology is sufficient.
• Availability to participate in required training before active project involvement.

Additional Notes

• Contributors will be hired as independent contractors with flexible schedules but must meet deadlines and recording requirements.
• Compensation depends on the quality and quantity of usable footage submitted and is subject to final project terms.
• Recording must follow privacy, consent, safety, and project-specific regulations.
• Voice narration or additional audio requirements may apply as per project specifications.
• Approximately 10 contributors are expected to be hired per approved country.
• The project scope and conditions, including device specifications and participation volume, may be adjusted based on operational necessities.
