Role Overview

We are seeking a Porter to join our team immediately in Ithaca, NY. This full-time onsite position is centered around maintaining the outdoor environment and common areas of residential properties to ensure a clean, safe, and inviting living experience for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the property's outdoor condition in compliance with company standards, OSHA, and industry requirements.
• Perform physically demanding tasks including landscaping, lawn care, snow and ice clearance, and trash removal from shared spaces.
• Keep common areas such as pools, spas, club rooms, laundry facilities, restrooms, parking lots, and exterior lighting clean and well-maintained.
• Carry out repairs to stairwell treads and exterior light fixtures, including bulb replacement and inventory reporting.
• Manage landscaping duties including mowing, raking leaves, seasonal plant installation, pruning, irrigation system upkeep, and application of lawn treatments.
• Clean and maintain pool and spa areas according to manufacturer guidelines and pool codes; perform routine pool equipment maintenance.
• Assist with snow removal and pressure washing of sidewalks, buildings, and pool decks as needed.
• Follow emergency procedures and promote safety to prevent property damage and ensure resident and visitor well-being.
• Adhere to uniform standards and represent the company professionally at all times.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or Trade School diploma plus at least one year of full-time experience in grounds or lawn maintenance, or equivalent education and experience combination.
• Ability to comprehend instructions clearly and document labor and material usage accurately.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliability with flexibility for after-hours and weekend emergency work.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Strong interpersonal skills with respect for diversity and adherence to non-harassment and inclusion policies.
