About the Role
Restaurant Associates is looking to fill a full-time Porter position stationed at BAC Grace Pavilion and Concourse, located at 1114 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10036. The role is remote application only, with work schedules from Monday to Friday and specific hours shared during the interview process. Candidates must have prior experience as a porter to qualify.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep all front-of-house areas sanitary and orderly, including clearing and cleaning tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage stations.
- Ensure tables are cleared and cleaned and floors are swept during busy periods and readiness is maintained before service starts.
- Follow proper safety protocols while moving dishes and utensils to the kitchen using trays, bus tubs, or carts.
- Manage washing of dishes, glassware, and pots, clean cooking equipment, and uphold strict sanitation standards for smooth service operation.
- Scrape, rinse, and wash dishes either by hand or using dishwashers; confirm cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety compliance of display equipment during meal services.
- Assist with receiving and moving heavy deliveries to storage areas following safe lifting guidelines.
- Adhere to HACCP standards for food presentation, portion control, and maintaining serving temperatures.
- Comply with company safety policies, including appropriate use of protective gloves and slip-resistant footwear, and proper lifting techniques.
- Perform any other duties assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a porter is mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $18 to $20.
