Job Summary

The Dishwasher role involves maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, kitchen utensils, cooking equipment, and work areas to support smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remove food residues by scraping and rinsing dishes, utilizing manual wash or dishwashing machines as per assignment.
  • Clean pots, pans, and trays following prescribed procedures to ensure full sanitation.
  • Polish silverware employing machinery and chemical treatments tailored to equipment and protocols.
  • Maintain safety standards and follow all operational guidelines regarding temperature and chemical usage.
  • Keep dishwashing areas tidy and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly to uphold sanitation and safety.
  • Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
  • Handle waste disposal by emptying trash into designated bins and cleaning garbage containers thoroughly.
  • Assist with transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work zones, including loading and unloading products.
  • Perform any other duties assigned to support kitchen and dining operations.

Requirements and Eligibility

  • Previous experience in hospitality is required; candidates open to training are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be able to comply with all safety practices, including proper use of protective gloves and footwear and safe lifting techniques.

Schedule and Location

Full-time position based in Ann Arbor, Michigan (ZIP 48105), working Monday through Friday with hours to be discussed during interview.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly pay fixed at $26.00 per hour.
