Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time podiatrist to join our Frankston-based clinic, with flexible scheduling and a flexible start date. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a wide array of foot and lower limb problems such as musculoskeletal disorders, conditions affecting skin and nails, and diabetic foot complications.
Key Duties
- Conduct detailed clinical consultations and physical examinations.
- Create, implement, and review individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe orthotic devices and perform biomechanical assessments including gait analysis.
- Provide patient education on injury prevention and foot care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Maintain precise clinical documentation and follow clinical governance and safety protocols.
- Engage in clinical case discussion, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and pursue ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a recognized podiatry degree and current registration or eligibility for registration with the applicable professional board.
- Dedication to evidence-based approaches, meticulous clinical recordkeeping, and strict compliance with infection control procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Commitment to lifelong learning, professional growth, and providing culturally sensitive and inclusive care to all patients.
Additional Information
The position includes weekly mentoring sessions with a senior podiatrist with 30 years of experience, supporting professional development and clinical excellence.
