Plumber

Position Overview

This role involves addressing minor plumbing issues such as clearing clogged drains, assembling pipes, tubing, and fittings, and performing leak detection by filling pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air. The plumber will study blueprints, building regulations, and specifications while inspecting building structures to plan installations effectively.

The duties include measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to precise angles, installing and maintaining pipe assemblies, valves, fittings, appliances, and fixtures, and executing various minor repairs. Regular preventative maintenance on tools and equipment is also a key responsibility.

Safety and Company Standards

The employee must adhere strictly to all company policies and safety procedures, report hazards or injuries, complete necessary safety training, and maintain professional personal appearance and confidentiality of company information. Engaging courteously with guests and colleagues, and maintaining high-quality standards are essential.

Physical Requirements

The job requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 75 pounds independently and assist with items exceeding 100 pounds. Physical tasks include grasping, turning objects, bending, stooping, ladder use, and standing, sitting, or walking for prolonged periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma.
• Minimum of two years of relevant plumbing experience.
• No supervisory experience required.

Mandatory Certifications

• Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator License.
• Certification as a Plumber.
