Playwright and API Automation Tester

About the Role

Reveille Technologies Pvt. Ltd., located in Chennai, is seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience specializing in Playwright and API automation testing. This full-time position requires designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for both web and API applications.

Key Responsibilities & Skills Required

• Design and implement automated tests using Playwright for web applications.
• Create and maintain API automation tests with strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON handling, and API validations.
• Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript for test development.
• Apply knowledge of Selenium and web automation concepts to enhance test strategies.
• Work with version control systems like Git and incorporate CI/CD pipelines into automation workflows.
• Use SQL queries to validate data within test cases.
• Demonstrate thorough comprehension of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), test case design, defect management, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with Playwright Test framework.
• Familiarity with tools like Postman and REST Assured for API testing.
• Knowledge and use of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
• Capability to develop automation frameworks from scratch to suit project requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
