Platform Engineer (w/m/d)

Key Responsibilities

• Construct and operate scalable Kubernetes clusters with GPU support serving as the foundation for an AI service platform.
• Implement and audit security policies to ensure robust system protection.
• Develop and execute strategies for updates, patching, and recovery of the platform.
• Deploy and manage monitoring and observability solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Collaborate closely within an agile, interdisciplinary team consisting of Data Scientists, ML/AI Engineers, and Fullstack Developers.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to developers regarding deployment, operations, and efficient use of Kubernetes.

Candidate Profile

• Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
• At least two years of post-graduate practical experience managing container and virtualization environments, with a strong focus on Kubernetes.
• Proficient understanding of network architectures and security concepts.
• Experience in provisioning and administering CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Tekton, ArgoCD).
• Solid grasp of DevOps principles and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
• Fluent in German (business level) and very good command of English, both spoken and written.
