Platform Engineer

About the Role

We seek an experienced Senior AI Platform Engineer to be a key contributor in building and scaling our company-wide artificial intelligence infrastructure. This position is critical in creating reusable AI services, APIs, and software development kits that empower various engineering teams to rapidly innovate in AI within a secure and efficient framework.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain the foundational elements of the AI platform, such as large language model (LLM) endpoints, agent execution environments, vector databases, model routing systems, and knowledge retrieval mechanisms.
• Build reusable APIs, SDKs, and standardized templates that minimize redundant efforts and facilitate a smooth, self-service experience for developers creating AI solutions.
• Guarantee that all components of the AI platform are production-ready with high availability and scalability by instituting thorough monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Lead ongoing enhancements in engineering practices while steering teams across the organization to employ established architectural patterns and leverage shared platform functionalities.
• Collaborate extensively with security and governance teams to integrate safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and secure delivery standards into the platform’s core coding infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Demonstrated hands-on software engineering experience, especially in backend development and platform engineering focused on shared enterprise service creation.
• Advanced skills in Python programming, notably in crafting scalable APIs, backend services, and cloud automation scripts.
• In-depth knowledge of contemporary AI technologies including LLM orchestration, agent processing cycles, context and memory management, and vector-based database systems.
• Strong familiarity with cloud-native ecosystems, microservices design, and system integration methodologies.
• Understanding of secure coding principles, enterprise engineering protocols, and governance framework implementation within development pipelines.
