Role Overview

The Plant Manager will helm the 1000+ employee facility in Burnfoot, County Donegal, Ireland. This leadership position entails overseeing all facets of site operations, ensuring top-tier manufacturing standards, fostering a dynamic and positive workplace culture, and collaborating with other Irish and international Vertiv facilities and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Exercise complete site leadership, managing functions such as production, engineering, quality, finance, environmental health & safety (EHS), materials, facilities, and customer order operations.
• Develop and monitor annual budgets while managing profit and loss performance.
• Promote a safe, engaged, and union-free workplace culture that emphasizes teamwork and ownership.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks to surpass goals on quality, delivery timelines, cost control, inventory metrics, and throughput efficiency.
• Design and sustain flexible, scalable production systems with capacity planning aligned to customer demands and growth forecasts.
• Lead, recruit, and develop plant leadership and frontline teams through structured performance management and clear development pathways.
• Facilitate transparent communication channels within the plant to maintain employee engagement and morale.
• Engage directly with customers to uphold exceptional satisfaction and oversee the launch of new products.
• Represent Vertiv positively within the local community, participating in regional business forums and leadership groups.
• Manage special projects with targeted timelines and uphold rigorous financial reporting and cost management standards.

About You

• Extensive expertise in manufacturing management, including production oversight, inventory control, cost productivity, quality assurance, and fulfillment metrics.
• Proven leadership skills with experience coaching and inspiring diverse teams at scale within large manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive hands-on production management experience with a track record in leading sizeable manufacturing operations.
• Strong skills in supply chain management, operational excellence, and manufacturing systems like MRP.
• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of thriving in complex and globally dispersed environments.
• Willingness to undertake regional travel approximately 25% of the time.
