Plant Administrator

About the Role

Jons Civil Engineering Company Ltd is looking for a highly organised and proactive Plant & Fleet Administrator to work from our Head Office in Duleek, County Meath. This position is ideal for candidates who possess strong IT competence, commercial awareness, and a genuine practical interest in vehicles and plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep detailed and accurate records related to plant, machinery, and vehicles, covering servicing, inspections, repairs, and compliance.
• Track servicing and maintenance schedules, anticipating when vehicles need servicing, repairs, new tyres, or other routine upkeep.
• Monitor maintenance and servicing expenses, maintaining precise reports and spreadsheets.
• Arrange servicing, repairs, inspections, and tyre changes for the fleet.
• Enhance plant management systems and spreadsheets by identifying opportunities to optimize and streamline processes.

Requirements

• Experience in roles related to administration, fleet management, plant operation, transport coordination, workshop duties, or similar fields.
• Excellent IT proficiency, especially with Microsoft Excel, coupled with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• A proactive mindset with excellent follow-through and problem-solving capabilities.
• A genuine practical interest in plant machinery and vehicles.
• Beneficial to have experience in construction, civil engineering, plant hire, fleet management, or automotive sectors.
