Planning Manager

About the Role

EMEC KSA requires an experienced Planning Manager to oversee the planning, scheduling, and project control activities for large to mega-scale Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project schedules, establish baselines, implement recovery plans, and set up systems for tracking progress.
• Continuously observe project performance to detect delays and potential risks, recommending necessary corrective measures.
• Coordinate efforts across project teams including engineering, procurement, commercial, and construction departments.
• Create detailed progress reports, develop dashboards, prepare forecasts, and present them to senior leadership and clients.
• Manage resource allocation and cost loading, update schedules regularly, and perform critical-path analysis to support project success.
• Assist with claims related to extension of time and perform delay analyses when required.
• Ensure project milestone targets are met as per contractual obligations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Between 10 to 15 years of experience in planning and project control functions.
• Demonstrated track record in executing large to mega-scale MEP projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
• Mandatory valid membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Expertise in Primavera P6 scheduling software and other project planning/reporting tools.
• In-depth knowledge of MEP construction workflows, project control techniques, progress measurement methods, and delay impact analyses.
• Strong leadership capabilities, coordination skills, analytical aptitude, and stakeholder management experience.
• Preference given to candidates with substantial experience specifically on KSA projects.
