Job description

About Egis Advisory Service Line

Egis specializes in overseeing major development projects across the region, including giga projects, municipal developments, and large urban and real estate initiatives. Leveraging engineering, architectural, and technological expertise, Egis strives to shape the future landscape of infrastructure and urban spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the Project Charter and Project Execution Plan throughout the engagement.
  • Maintain and safeguard the baseline schedule, balancing client dependencies with Egis activities, and only re-baseline under formal change control.
  • Organize field operations by arranging site access, permits, and escorts in advance of mobilization.
  • Establish and facilitate governance frameworks such as steering committees and weekly workstream meetings to ensure decisions and tasks reach completion.
  • Utilize delegated authorities and escalation matrices to ensure decisions occur at appropriate levels with options and recommendations provided.
  • Supervise the lifecycle of deliverables from draft through validation workshops, client feedback, responses, approval, and internal peer reviews prior to submission.
  • Manage stage gates focusing on achievement of conditions rather than promises, documenting exceptions with responsible owners and target closure dates.
  • Lead the entire change control procedure and maintain a comprehensive change log detailing cumulative impacts.
  • Maintain registers for risks, issues, and information requests, issuing updates and escalating overdue matters.
  • Oversee document control including the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and maintain program dashboards tracking deliverables, approval statuses, and response timelines.
  • Provide monthly reports highlighting schedule variances, deliverable progress, risk updates, and client decisions required.
  • Supervise subconsultant performance aligned with schedules and acceptance criteria.
  • Apply ISO 9001 standards to templates, review processes, and document issuance.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical disciplines.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in project or program management, including a minimum of 3 years managing projects in Saudi Arabia.
  • Possession of PMP certification or an equivalent credential.
  • Proven success managing multi-site consultancy projects involving extensive field mobilization and coordination of subconsultants.
  • Demonstrated capability in owning project execution plans, executing change control processes, and managing stage gate procedures.
  • Working familiarity with ISO 9001 standards; knowledge of ISO 22301 and ISO 31000 is advantageous.
  • Experience with quantitative schedule risk analysis and Monte Carlo methods for contingency planning is a plus.
  • Strong skills in managing stakeholders, especially within public sector and sovereign clients.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers or eligible to register.
