About the Company
A prominent technology solutions provider specializing in Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and Audio Visual (AV) systems based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, delivering integrated systems across the Middle East. They are known for their expertise in system design, supply, installation, and integration, catering to a wide variety of commercial and specialized projects with a focus on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop baseline project schedules using Primavera and obtain approval from contractors or clients at project initiation.
- Regularly update project timelines according to contractual terms and conditions.
- Collect and incorporate monthly progress updates from engineers into project plans.
- Identify potential project delays and promptly report these to the project manager.
- Assist in preparing delay claims in alignment with contract terms, submitting them to contractors or clients as necessary.
- Support the planning team by maintaining precise project documentation and progress reporting.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s quality management system.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on relevant topics.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant fields. Diploma holders with substantial planning experience are also considered.
- Professional certification in Primavera P6 or related planning/project management credentials is advantageous.
- 3 to 7 years’ experience as a project planner or planning engineer in construction, MEP, ELV, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
- Proficient in preparing baseline, update, and recovery schedules, as well as look-ahead plans on weekly and monthly bases.
- Experienced in monitoring critical path activities, project milestones, deliverables, and progress reporting to clients and senior management.
- Skilled in delay analysis and processing Extension of Time claims.
- Coordination experience with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in Primavera P6 is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project and advanced Excel for dashboards, pivot tables, and reporting.
- Understanding of project scheduling, resource planning, and Critical Path Method (CPM).
