About the Role
China State Construction Middle East is seeking a Planning Engineer to join their planning team for a prominent High Rise Tower project in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of Baseline Programs from project initiation, including resource and cost loading, and activity code definition, primarily using Primavera P6 software.
- Manage updates and revisions to the Project Baseline Program as necessary.
- Lead preparation of Construction, Working, Recovery, and Short Term Look ahead Programs as required, utilizing Primavera P6.
- Design and set up various reporting formats establishing project reporting criteria.
- Monitor and control progress of key activities across engineering, procurement, and construction phases; gather data and update schedules including Baseline, Construction, and Short Term Look ahead Programs using Primavera P6.
- Identify and report critical issues impacting work progress promptly to Project Management.
- Coordinate and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Coordinate and develop Key Performance Indicators for main trades, activities, and cost centers.
- Prepare, monitor, and update Resource and Cost Histograms.
- Create Dashboard Reports to track project status.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely project information collection and processing.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Practical experience with Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience working specifically on High Rise Tower projects.
